Andrew really raised the bar, and not just with SEO. He laid the early groundwork for our PPC campaigns (now 50% more cost-effective than the industry average), and we built a website together with a visual builder. He took organic search from a sliver of traffic to a dominant channel and he’s still excited to implement new SEO strategies over a year later. He just doesn’t stop learning.

Certifiably addicted to learning.

Pun intended.

Introduction to Google Data Studio

One of my personal favourites, Data Studio lets you pull analytics reports from multiple sources and then visualize it all in a way that non-experts can understand. The automation is pretty great too. I’d highly recommend it.

Advanced Google Analytics

Advanced Google Analytics builds on knowledge from the Google Analytics for Beginners course to make use of advanced traffic analysis capabilities in the platform, particularly with custom reports and segmentation.

Google Analytics for Power Users

One step above Advanced Google Analytics, this course showed me how to get right into the trenches for things like forensic SEO, cross-domain tracking, and analyzing site speed.

Google Tag Manager Fundamentals

Tag Manager is critical for implementing multiple analytics platforms, since Facebook, Twitter, and Google tags don’t integrate directly. It’s also a best practice to use it for setting up new goals and cross-domain tracking.

Technical SEO (SEMrush)

SEMrush offers several SEO and PPC certifications from established professionals in the field, to say nothing of the platform certifications. These SEO courses were taught by Greg Gifford and Bastian Grimm.

Pay-per-click advertising certificate of skill from SEMrush.

PPC Advertising (SEMrush)

SEMrush also offers a certification on the fundamentals of pay-per-click search advertising, since these ads live in the same space as organic search results.

Certificate of web accessibility training from W3C.

Web Accessibility Standards

Accessibility is both a sign of compassion and good UX (as a part of inclusive design). I took the introductory course and earned a verified certificate from W3C, which sets the international standards for accessibility across the globe.

Hootsuite Proficiency

Social media management used to be a significant part of my life in past agency roles. While co-managing a page of over 600,000 viewers, I earned this certificate to streamline engagement, content libraries, and reputation management.

Conversion Optimization Course with Isaac Rudansky

Conversion rates matter in UX as much as in marketing. I took this course with Isaac Rudansky, CEO of AdVenture Media, which applies principles from industrial psychology alongside modern landing page design.

I worked closely with Andrew on a project for a client in the financial services industry, which involved building long-form, informational content to rank for specific keyword clusters. Andrew did an excellent job executing the content strategy and went above and beyond when providing the deliverables.

One piece of content, in particular, performed exceptionally well and was responsible for generating over 20K+ sessions and close to 50% of total sites visits in a two-year time frame. This article also led to 10% of all conversions for the site. I would highly recommend Andrew for any content marketing project, in particular, if it requires a thorough understanding of SEO best practices.

Andrew’s work as a book review editor was excellent. His work included recruiting contributors, building a rapport with them, editing their work to meet the strict publication style guide, and creating an excel database for future Book Review Editors to save time. He managed deadlines for authors and edited their reviews for content and clarity with a great eye for detail. I highly recommend his work.

Andrew’s diligence and attention to detail make him a valued asset for any client or project. While working together at DDE Media, he maintained a plethora of accounts by working in tandem with both clients and DDE employees. This helped meet client goals while creating crucial learning experiences for employees, thus supporting everyone to generate success as a team.

Andrew can also handle unexpected transitions—he seamlessly integrated one of my biggest clients into his own workload after I sustained an injury that caused me to miss some time in the office. This allowed DDE to maintain a close relationship with the client during my absence, and upon my return I was able to pick up where he left off without any issue.

Andrew was a strong mentor to me during his tenure at DDE Media, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
