I started Webb Content as a freelance content marketing brand after my first full-time position out of grad school, acquiring 13 clients in 2016. I have since evolved it into an integrated SEO and content marketing service so that every piece written generates reliable organic search traffic.
My mission here is to raise the bar on SEO and content marketing by integrating them at every step.
13 Clients in 12 Months
With only a small circle of professional contacts and a year of marketing experience, I set out to build a client base in a very, very short time. I created a list of 256 agencies in Ontario and built client relationships with them from scratch. I earned 13 clients in my first year of operation, many of them remaining with me years later.
A CEO, entrepreneur, and one of Canada’s 100 most powerful women asked me to ghost write a handful of articles for her. The top two were shared 1,500 and 1,200 times on Entrepreneur.com, taking her credibility and that of her company to the next level. She has since opened a new office in Toronto to expand her business.
300-word blogs don’t cut it anymore. Not even 500-word blogs really do the trick these days without hyper-targeted longtail keywords. I created exhaustive pages that used latent semantically indexed keywords to elevate a client’s site rank for competitive keywords. One of them even ranked on the first page of Google for local search.
Andrew took the time to understand the multi-faceted nature of our school: a well-established seminary that hosts a young congregation and runs a new counselling agency. Andrew scanned and assessed more than a dozen of our websites and social media accounts, and then submitted a comprehensive report on time. He recommended tools and strategies to improve our online outreach in the short and long terms. My colleagues and I are looking forward to implementing recommendations that we believe will help strengthen and grow our communities, as well as raise public awareness of the seminary, the thirdspace_ worshipping community, and the Delton Glebe Counselling Centre.
